The most comfortable helmet I have ever worn!

Love the design of this helmet and quality looks good also. I am now on my 2nd exchange because sizing is totally incorrect. Other helmets I own are 2XL. Based on sizing chart they (Quin) show I ordered am XL. It fit on the top of my head like a baseball cap and would go no further. After chatting online they suggested a 2XL. Received it today. With a very strong tug I could pull it to just right above my ears. Like a fool, going to try exchanging for a 3XL. Not a very happy or satisfied customer right. Especially having to continue putting out $$$$ for returns.

Recently purchased a Spitfire Nero, and had some fit issues which were expertly resolved by Gino and Ani. Awesome communication and effort by Gino ensured I got into the correct helmet! Looking forward to safe riding in '21 & Beyond.

I have the spitfire helmet love the stitching to the integrated speakers and the safety features it has. I don’t have to worry if I get into a accident it will call my emergency contacts and give them a beacon where I am. It’s super comfortable. Thank you Quin for the awesome helmet.

This helmet hurt to put on and it was the correct size, I'm typically a Medium and the size chart was accurate. The plug for the buttons was sticking out in the cushion preventing part of the cushion to fully snap in. It fit well when actually on like my other helmet but taking off was painful. I was very excited to get this helmet seeing reviews from a decent amount of videos I watched of it but was disappointed with the sound. Overall it looks nice, that's about it.

Just received my Spitfire Nero today. Amazing helmet. Very well designed and one of the most comfortable helmets I’ve owned. Easy to connect to my 2018 Goldwing and IPhone. Looking forward to many miles with it and know that I have peace of mind if I go down.

I just received my Spitfire Nero from them today. It’s very light, I love the flip down sun visor, and the integrated Bluetooth comms are amazing. It’s a fantastic helmet. I am currently playing with the app that you can sync to it for SOS and crash. Can’t wait to get it on a ride. Thanks Quin!

I found out about the Quin helmets via the Kickstarter platform where I originally backed the Spitfire Nero. After approximately 12,800km/8,000mi under the helmet, these are my findings:
Pros:
- good lightweight helmet (I can only imagine how light the carbon fibre must be!)
- very good airflow (even though I always ride with my balaclava, even when temperatures exceed 35C/95F)
- love the integrated Bluetooth system; it connects to my phone in a blink of an eye and the speakers provide a clear sound when listening to the navigation/music
- the battery lasts a while! I recently went on a road trip and rode approx 6h30min per day and I only had to recharge the helmet at the end of day 8! (I used it only to listen to the GPS navigation; I guess if listening to music it drains the battery faster)
- the SOS function is a major plus when choosing the helmet (although I sincerely hope that I will never have to use it)
- the internal sun visor is absolutely great and easy to flip up and down while riding
- I really appreciate the extra space around the ears! That takes away one of the major pressure points that I experienced in the previous helmet
- possibility of taking off the liner and the extra pads to give the helmet a proper cleaning (I like their snap system way more than the velcro. Thanks for that)
- removing and re-attaching the visor to give it a proper cleaning is super easy
- great chin strap quick-release design
Cons:
- unfortunately, after a while, the Power On/Off button gets stuck and I have to use my fingernails to scoop it out and bring it to the neutral position
- talking to another person at higher speeds (approx. 100kmh/60mhp) becomes almost a mission impossible unless I yell into the microphone and even then the other person would have difficulties understanding me
- the wind noise is on the higher end, but luckily I compensate that with the extra space around the ears, by wearing earplugs
- one of the three buttons on the chin curtain got damaged after taking it on/off only a handful of times and the chin curtain is unfortunately not securely attached to the helmet any more
Having said all that, would I buy another Quin helmet in the future? YES!
The company is also really good at taking the feedback provided by the riders seriously. Looking forward to future products!

I am very pleased with my Quin helmet. Great build quality, elegant design, no-fuss features, what's not to love?
I am proud to be an early backer on crowd funding, and look forward to may hours with this great helmet.

I feel that Quin is on the cusp of greatness...
I chose this helmet for one reason, safety. The piece of mind I get knowing that if something were to happen to me, then my wife, or other emergency contacts, could quickly get help to me, is priceless. There are a lot of things that Quin is doing right. And a few things that are pretty easy fixes that need to be addressed.
First and foremost, let's chat about that customer service. It's amazing, every little question I had was answered quickly and professionally. It really was a joy to work with the Quin team.
I took my Quin Spitfire Nero on a 40 mile trip yesterday to try it out. My VERY 1st impression was "Geeze! This thing super light!" Threw it on our bathroom scale, came in about half a pound less then my Bell Qualifer DLX with Sena Smh10. That was REALLY noticeable on my ride. Doing head checks was so much easier. The aerodynamics on the Spitfire are on point as well. No buffeting and zero lift at speed. The airflow was awesome compared to my Bell. The vents are nice and clicky and easily opened with a gloved hand. Much better then the Bell Qualifer. It's something small that is often overlooked. I found the lid to be a bit loud. both wind noise and bike noise seemed to come through a little more then my Bell. Not a huge deal as I wear earplugs anyway.
Fit and finish: The matte finish on the shell is awesome. Feels very premium. The quilted liner is VERY nice and soft to the touch. I'd love to see Quin add a bit more padding to the inside. I think it would also deaden the noise a bit. I took apart the guts, just to see how everything looked inside. I found the snaps on the comfort liner and the chin curtain to be a little less premium then I had hoped. Not "bad", but I wish the lock up was a little more positive. The interior sunshade is perfect in both tint and size. A GIANT plus for me! The face shield was also a little underwhelming. I found there was a lot more flex in the shield then my bell. It also fogs up pretty easily. Glad the visor has a "city position" in order to help keep it clear. I hear that Quin will be releasing a pinlock visor soon... I'll be first in line!!!
Bluetooth system: This is the biggest strike for me. But it seems to me that a lot of it can be fixed with a simple firmware upgrade. The audio coming out of the speakers are nice and loud although a bit tinny. That's no different then my Sena smh10. Though the Spitfire is louder. The microphone is what really falls short. It seems that the gain on the microphone is set to high. The audio comes through over-modulated and muddy on the other end of the phone call. My wife was CLEARLY able to hear my bike at idle at a stoplight. That never happens with my Sena. I find myself speaking just above a whisper to be understood. The background noise is so bad that I cant even use the "ok/hey google/siri" command. It seems the system can't pick up my voice from the background noise. A simple firmware upgrade could easily address this shortcoming. I'd also like to see if putting the mice on a boom (instead of having it velcroed to the chin bar) would help isolate vibration a bit. I'd also love to see multi-point pairing. I use one cell phone for calls and another for music/gps. hopefully that can be an upgrade as well.
All in all, I am extremely happy with the Quin Spitfire Nero! There are a few things that need addressed, but they are all simple fixes. And based on the customer service I've received thus far, I have no doubt that Quin is on its way to great things. I would easily purchase confidently from them. A great company with a product that is safety minded! They are using some awesome tech to really push safety and innovation forward. My only regret... not going for the carbon fiber model. Well, maybe in a few months
Bravo Quin!!!
p.s. Quin... Hi-viz colorway!!! C'mon...PLEASSSSSE!!
